Aubay UK is seeking a Solution Architect for their leading oil and gas client. This role is responsible for delivering enterprise-scale, fit-for-purpose solution designs that align with IT strategy, Target Operating Environment (TOE), and reference architectures. The successful candidate will ensure technical integrity, optimal total cost of ownership across the lifecycle, and strong alignment between business outcomes and technology decisions. This role it’s for 6-month contract (possible extension), that supports high-impact programmes within the Downstream, Renewables, Trading & Supply portfolio, delivering critical ETRM transformation initiatives. Candidates will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week in the Waterloo office., Roles and Responsibilities:Provide solution architecture development, consultancy, and assurance to projects, ensuring alignment with standards, reference architectures, and segment roadmapsAct as the primary point of contact for all architecture aspects of assigned IT projects in line with the Project Delivery FrameworkDevelop and maintain Solution Architecture High-Level Designs (SAHLD) covering business processes, data, applications, technology, and information securityEnsure solution architecture artefacts conform to standards using approved templates and BiZZdesign / ArchiMate tooling, promoting reuse where possibleProactively identify, communicate, mitigate, and resolve architectural risks, seeking step-out approvals where solutions deviate from standardsReview and approve detailed solution designs and related test plans prior to implementation, ensuring documentation is kept currentSupport Architecture Review Boards and collaborate with Segment Architects as requiredCoach and guide technical consultants, business analysts, and delivery teams throughout the design processMaintain strong relationships with delivery teams, competence centres, suppliers, and senior business stakeholdersStay current with technology trends and internal standards to ensure solutions are future-proof and aligned with evolving IT strategy About Aubay UK - Ahead of Innovation!Aubay UK is a recognised InSourcing Partner for client-side deployment delivered across London.
