Healthcare IT Consultant

We are seeking a Healthcare Interoperability / Technical Advisory Consultant with hands-on experience designing and delivering healthcare integration solutions in real-world hospital environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in HL7, FHIR R4, healthcare integration architecture, clinical systems, and secure API/event-driven architectures.

Required Skills & ExperienceHealthcare Interoperability

• Hands-on experience delivering healthcare interoperability solutions in real-world hospital environments.
• Practical experience implementing HL7 FHIR R4 interfaces in production environments.
• Experience addressing operational constraints, data-quality issues, vendor limitations, and deployment challenges.
• Experience working with clinical systems such as EHR, EMR, LIS, pharmacy platforms, and Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS).

Architecture & Engineering

• Practical experience designing event-driven and API-based architectures.
• Ability to develop clear architecture diagrams, workflow diagrams, and interface specifications.
• Ability to translate business and clinical integration requirements into implementation-ready technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of secure, reliable, and maintainable healthcare integration design.

Security & Privacy

• Applied knowledge of healthcare security and privacy requirements in operational environments.
• Experience incorporating authentication, authorization, auditability, data protection, and secure transport considerations into solution designs., * Experience leading interoperability architecture reviews with hospitals and integration vendors.
• Familiarity with cloud-native integration platforms and deployment operating models.
• Experience establishing interoperability governance, design standards, or implementation guidance.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clinical, technical, and non-technical stakeholders., * Interoperability: 2 years (Required)
