About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Signals Team, contributing to the development of secure, scalable applications that support digital identity and authentication services.You will work across the stack-from intuitive frontend interfaces to robust backend systems-collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful solutions. This role is ideal for engineers who take ownership of complex features end-to-end, influence technical direction, and help raise the engineering bar across the team. Signals Team MissionAccelerating global expansion with locally trusted identity verification solutionsThe Signals team builds and maintains critical identity verification capabilities that enable secure onboarding and regulatory compliance worldwide, including:Proof of Address (PoA)AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checkseKYC database integrationseID and digital identity integrationsThese systems power trusted identity flows across multiple geographies and regulatory environments. What You’ll DoLead the design, build, and evolution of fullstack applications using React (TypeScript), Kotlin, Python, and RubyArchitect and develop scalable APIs and microservices deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCPTake ownership of complex features from design through to production and ongoing operationDrive architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, privacy-compliant features aligned with regulations (e.g., GDPR, BIPA, CCPA)Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidanceImprove system reliability, scalability, observability, and performancePartner with product and UX teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric experiencesChampion secure coding practices and contribute to identity and cryptographic systemsIdentify and implement improvements to engineering practices, tools, and workflows Key Projects You’ll SupportLeading enhancements across identity verification and authentication productsDriving the evolution of the Signals platform architectureDesigning and maintaining SDKs and APIs for a consistent developer experienceScaling third-party integrationsIntegrating advanced security and identity features into Entrust’s identity platform

Required Qualifications5+ years of professional experience in fullstack or software engineeringStrong proficiency in React/TypeScript and at least one backend language (Python, Kotlin, or Ruby)Proven experience designing and building distributed systems and scalable architecturesExperience building and operating APIs and microservices in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong understanding of system design, performance, and reliability trade-offsDeep knowledge of software security principles and privacy-by-design approachesExperience working in agile environments with CI/CD practicesStrong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisionsExperience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect)Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot or Ruby on RailsUnderstanding of privacy regulations and their technical implicationsExperience building secure SDKs or working on developer platforms
