Job description

The Business Intelligence Analyst position is two-fold: it is responsible for gathering, scrubbing, analyzing, and reporting data, and for using that data to facilitate more effective strategic business decisions.

Utilizing strong collaboration, the position works directly with key stakeholders to understand the business environment, business processes and procedures, and organization objectives. It understands the business context, constraints, and problems, and evaluates business processes for efficiency, cost, and other value metrics, communicating insights with business teams. The position is proficient in the use of query and reporting analysis tools to perform standardized data collection, data compilation, data integrity checks, and data analysis. Uses specific technical skills, such as Structured Query Language (SQL), to extract data from databases and data warehouses in preparation for data system sharing, analysis, and reporting. Uses business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, to present and communicate extracted data in a compelling manner. Uses modeling and reporting tools, such as Microsoft Excel, to design validation reports, databases, and presentation reports. Troubleshoots potential and known issues. Use established procedures and work independently in support of objectives.
