Job description

You will work closely with Data Engineering, Development, DevOps, and Data Science teams to build reliable streaming pipelines, integrate data across cloud platforms, and optimize Kafka-based solutions., * Design, develop, and manage real-time streaming data pipelines using Confluent Kafka and Apache Flink.

  • Build and maintain scalable Kafka solutions integrating with AWS, Snowflake, and other enterprise data platforms.
  • Develop reliable data pipelines with a focus on data quality, integrity, performance, and availability.
  • Use Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate infrastructure and deployments.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Kafka applications, clusters, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kafka and streaming pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on Kafka architecture, development, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective streaming solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across Kafka, Confluent Cloud, and related streaming technologies.
  • Stay current with Kafka and modern streaming technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements

We are looking for a Sr. Confluent Kafka Developer to design, develop, and support scalable, real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka and Confluent Cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Kafka, distributed systems, Python, cloud platforms, and real-time data integration., * 3+ years of software development experience with strong experience in Apache Kafka and distributed systems.

  • 2+ years of Python development experience building Kafka applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and Schema Registry.
  • Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, IAM, and Lambda.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, ETL, data pipelines, and orchestration.
  • Experience with streaming pipeline monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Confluent Cloud experience implementing Kafka-based solutions.
  • Experience with Apache Flink, ksqlDB, and Kafka Connect.
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake and cloud data warehousing.
  • Strong Java programming experience for scalable, event-driven applications.
  • Experience with additional data streaming platforms and technologies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • AWS, Apache Kafka, Confluent, or related certifications are a plus.
