Job description
- Systems & Cloud Infrastructure: Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), VMware, and hybrid cloud infrastructure environments.
- Network & Security Management: Monitor and support enterprise network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi) while enforcing cybersecurity protocols and endpoint security (EDR/MDR).
- Escalation & Operational Support: Act as the final escalation point (Tier 3) for complex hardware, software, and network issues, maintaining high system availability and SLA performance.
- Project Execution & IT Modernization: Lead infrastructure upgrades, identity management deployments, data migration projects, and media-specific storage system implementations (NAS/SAN).
- Governance & Compliance: Enforce ITIL service delivery standards, manage asset inventories, and ensure systems comply with Cyber Essentials Plus and UK GDPR regulations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior IT Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Infrastructure Specialist within a corporate or digital agency environment.
- Deep technical expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Intune/MDM management.
- Strong networking foundation (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Firewalls) and experience with enterprise backup and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Advanced scripting abilities (PowerShell or Bash) for system automation and configuration management.
- Must have the right to work in the UK without requiring employer sponsorship.
- Desirable: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or ITIL v4 Foundation credential.
