Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Data Manager to lead and develop our Data and Business Intelligence capability as MM Flowers continues its digital transformation.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of how data is governed, structured, connected and used across a complex, fast-paced international business.

You’ll help us move away from fragmented data and manual reporting towards a trusted, automated and scalable data environment - giving our teams better information to make faster, smarter decisions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and deliver our data strategy and roadmap
  • Lead and develop our Data and BI capability
  • Establish strong data governance, ownership and quality standards
  • Lead the development of Power BI dashboards and reporting
  • Reduce manual and duplicated reporting through automation
  • Bring together data from ERP, WMS, planning and other enterprise systems
  • Improve the quality, accessibility and consistency of business-critical data
  • Partner with teams across Operations, Commercial, Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Technical and People
  • Work closely with Business Systems and Automation & Integration teams
  • Support major systems and digital transformation projects
  • Explore opportunities to use AI and advanced analytics to create business value

Requirements

You’ll be an experienced data professional who is equally comfortable working with technology, getting into the detail and influencing business stakeholders., * Strong experience in Data Management, BI, Analytics or a related discipline

  • Experience leading a Data or BI capability
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI, SQL, data modelling and data-quality principles
  • Experience working with data from multiple enterprise systems
  • Good understanding of data governance and ownership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to turn complex data requirements into practical business solutions
  • Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, food, horticulture or another fast-paced operational environment would be advantageous, alongside exposure to ERP/WMS platforms and cloud data technologies.
