Job description

We are looking for a high-calibre Full Stack Developer with experience building AI-powered applications to join our growing health and education technology team. You will play a central role in developing interactive, real-time clinical simulation platforms that combine scalable web architecture with generative and conversational AI.

You will be building production-grade systems that integrate large language models, structured clinical workflows, and assessment engines to support healthcare training at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable front-end and back-end systems using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Architect and implement LLM-powered features, including conversational agents, structured reasoning flows, and AI-driven feedback systems.
  • Optimise performance, latency, and reliability in real-time AI interactions.
  • Work closely with clinicians and educators to translate complex clinical workflows into intuitive digital experiences.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, AI integration strategy, and long-term product scalability.

Requirements

Do you have experience in APIs?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Strong proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript across the full stack.

  • Production experience with React and Node.js.
  • Experience working with AI-powered applications using large language models or generative AI APIs.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Cloudflare.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and scalable deployment workflows.
  • Currently living in Scotland.
  • Ideally 5+ years experience in the industry.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience building conversational AI or real-time interaction systems.
  • Experience working with structured data pipelines for AI evaluation or scoring.
  • Familiarity with containerisation using Docker.
  • Understanding of authentication frameworks such as OAuth.
  • Experience in healthtech, edtech, or regulated environments.
  • Awareness of data governance and privacy considerations in healthcare systems., * Any production experience with generative or conversational AI.
