Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Technician to join our team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring product quality, food safety compliance, and adherence to company and regulatory standards throughout production and warehouse operations., * Conduct quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
  • Perform routine quality checks, product sampling, and documentation throughout production and warehouse operations.
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming products or materials and assist with corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate QA records, inspection reports, product hold/release documentation, and quality logs.
  • Conduct warehouse and production floor audits to ensure food safety and quality procedures are being followed.
  • Support internal audits, customer audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure employees are following proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Review product labeling, packaging, coding, and storage practices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify quality and documentation accuracy.
  • Communicate quality concerns effectively with Production, Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, and Management teams.
  • Monitor damaged, expired, or returned products and ensure proper documentation and disposition.
  • Perform trailer inspections and verify cleanliness and food safety compliance before loading and unloading.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely when necessary.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have prior QA experience in the food manufacturing industry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with Production, Warehouse, and Operations teams to maintain the highest quality standards. While this role includes some shipping and receiving support, the primary focus is on quality assurance and food safety compliance., * Minimum 2-3 years of Quality Assurance experience in a food manufacturing environment (required).

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF, and food safety regulations.
  • Experience conducting QA inspections, audits, and maintaining quality documentation.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment., * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable standing, walking, and working in production and warehouse environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
  • Food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to commute to Sylmar, CA 91342., * Quality assurance: 3 years (Required)
  • QA in Food Industry: 3 years (Required)
