Job description

  • Develop and maintain embedded firmware for a range of electronic products.
  • Write embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontroller-based systems.
  • Support the design, implementation and debugging of real-time embedded software.
  • Work closely with electronics and systems engineers throughout the development process.
  • Support firmware integration, testing and validation activities.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Produce clear and accurate technical documentation.
  • Learn and develop your understanding of embedded systems, development tools and firmware best practices.

Requirements

  • Some commercial, academic or project experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Good programming skills in C/C++.
  • Understanding of CAN communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems architecture.
  • Familiarity with debugging embedded systems using standard development tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
