Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful visualisations, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad range of technical skills, including data modelling, database management, and project management, within a dynamic organisation committed to data-driven solutions. Responsibilities

· Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

· Design, maintain, and optimise databases, data repositories, and reporting systems.

· Cleanse, validate, and transform data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

· Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualisations using tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

· Perform statistical analysis and data modelling to support forecasting and performance evaluation.

· Create and optimise SQL queries for efficient data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.

· Monitor data quality, investigate anomalies, and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.

· Build and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and automated workflows.

· Support data migration, warehousing, and integration activities across multiple platforms.

· Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including data definitions, methodologies, and reporting procedures.

· Ensure compliance with data governance, security standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

· Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, data modelling, and forecasting techniques.

· Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational database management systems.

· Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

· Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data integration techniques.

· Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages used for data analysis.

· Experience working with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

· Strong understanding of data quality management, validation, and cleansing methodologies.

· Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics technologies.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and interpret complex datasets accurately.

Benefits & conditions

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
