As part of this transformation, NSS and NES have joined to form a new organisation: Public Services Delivery Scotland (PSD Scotland). This new organisation will play a pivotal role in supporting the renewal and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health and care services across Scotland.
About the Organisation:
PSD Scotland unites expertise from NES and NSS in a way that will allow us to accelerate national programmes to support the NHS to deliver better care, now and in the future.
We support staff with education and training, provide the tools and data that improve services, and run vital national functions such as procurement, logistics and blood, tissue and cell services., The Seer Technology Office plays a critical role in delivering and supporting the data and analytics platforms that underpin national services. The team is responsible for the design, implementation, optimisation and ongoing management of enterprise data and business intelligence solutions, and the effective operation, maintenance and ongoing development of data and analytics platforms, across a modern cloud-based technology stack., We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Consultant working at the forefront of technical delivery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including business analysts, developers, data engineers, architects and service teams, as well as engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
- Providing expert technical leadership across platforms such as AWS, Denodo, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects and other enterprise tools
- Managing platform environments, including configuration, upgrades, security models and performance optimisation
- Supporting service improvement, operational stability and ongoing platform evolution
- Contributing to technical strategy and roadmap planning, including evaluation of emerging technologies
- Leading the technical design, development and implementation of complex data, integration and BI solutions
- Mentoring and developing other technical staff within the team

Requirements
We are looking for an experienced and credible technical expert with a strong background in data and analytics platforms and solutions, who can lead complex technical delivery and provide expert advice to stakeholders., * Strong technical skills across modern data platforms, with knowledge of cloud and data architecture principles
- Experience working with, or the ability to quickly build expertise in, technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Denodo, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects or similar
- Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise data and analytics solutions in complex environments
- The ability to lead technical design, manage risk and deliver high-quality solutions under pressure
- Experience working in Agile or digital delivery environments

- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands
- A collaborative, team-focused approach, with experience supporting and developing others
