Job description
The Advanced Database Administrator will perform enterprise database planning, administration, implementation, performance management, and operational support across DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, and Oracle environments., The position requires deep DB2/z/OS and mainframe expertise, including DB2 upgrades, catalog maintenance, point-in-time recovery, performance monitoring, JCL, COBOL, CICS, RACF, ISPF, and integrated z/OS infrastructure. The DBA will also support SQL Server and Oracle environments, infrastructure change management, disaster recovery, technical documentation, and mentoring of technical staff., * Perform daily database administration and operational support.
- Plan, design, implement, and support enterprise database structures.
- Administer DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, and Oracle environments.
- Monitor and tune database performance.
- Support DB2 for z/OS application integration.
- Perform DB2 for z/OS upgrades.
- Perform DB2 catalog maintenance.
- Support DB2 subsystem point-in-time recovery.
- Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
- Perform SQL code reviews.
- Support database and infrastructure implementation activities.
- Perform verification testing for infrastructure changes.
- Support disaster recovery planning and technical requirements.
- Assist with training and mentoring technical staff.
- Perform additional database and infrastructure activities as required.
Additional Responsibilities:

- Work with ISPF and ASG Scheduler.
- Support COBOL-based application environments.
- Utilize DB2 for z/OS database monitoring tools.

- Support CICS environments.
- Support Windows Server environments.
- Work with SQL Server tools including SSMS, SSRS, and SSIS.
- Support Azure-related database/infrastructure activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years of combined Database Administration experience.
- Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS administration.
- Advanced DB2 for z/OS application integration experience.
- Advanced DB2 performance management and tuning.
- Advanced experience upgrading DB2 for z/OS.
- Advanced DB2 catalog maintenance knowledge.
- Advanced knowledge of DB2 subsystem point-in-time recovery.
- Advanced knowledge of JCL.
- In-depth knowledge of the integrated z/OS platform.
- In-depth knowledge of CA GEN model management and application object support.
- In-depth knowledge of ISPF.
- In-depth knowledge of ASG Scheduler.
- In-depth knowledge of COBOL.
- Experience using and interpreting DB2 for z/OS monitoring tools.
- Experience using and interpreting z/OS software monitoring tools.
- Infrastructure implementation planning and coordination experience.
- Working knowledge of RACF and CICS.
- Strong Oracle database administration knowledge.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server database administration knowledge.
- Experience with infrastructure change-management verification testing.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server.
- Working knowledge of SSMS, SSRS, and SSIS.
- Working knowledge of Azure.
