Job description

Our client seeks a Java/AWS Engineer to develop Kafka-based event-driven applications and RESTful APIs within a high-throughput, low-latency brokerage processing domain. The role will design and build reusable microservices on AWS while supporting modernization from legacy systems to cloud-native solutions. You will apply CI/CD practices, containerization, and automation testing to deliver scalable, resilient services., n \n

  • Design, architect, and build scalable, low-latency event-driven services using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka. \n

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on reusability and high throughput.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building event-driven applications with Apache Kafka. \n

  • Proficiency in designing high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems. \n

  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot. \n

  • Hands-on experience with container-based development using Docker. \n

  • Experience with Hibernate ORM, JDBC, and connection pooling against relational databases. \n

  • Experience with CI/CD tools and practices such as GitHub, Jenkins, Stash, Artifactory, and Terraform. \n

  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and EKS (preferred). \n

  • Automation testing experience using frameworks like Cucumber. \n

  • Background in implementing microservices architecture and highly automated, scalable infrastructure.
