Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of client projects across network infrastructure and cyber security services.

The role will work closely with clients, technical teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards., · Take ownership of projects from initiation through to successful delivery and closure.

· Establish project objectives, scope, deliverables, milestones and success criteria.

· Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs and project documentation.

· Manage project dependencies, risks, issues and actions.

· Monitor progress against agreed milestones, budgets and resource requirements.

· Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed governance and quality standards.

· Proactively identify potential delivery issues and develop appropriate mitigation plans.

· Manage change control and ensure changes to scope, cost or timescales are properly assessed and agreed.

· Coordinate project activities across multiple technical and operational teams.

· Client Management

· Act as the primary project contact for clients, establishing strong and trusted relationships.

· Lead project meetings, progress reviews and steering meetings.

· Provide clear and concise project reporting to clients and senior stakeholders.

· Understand client requirements and ensure these are translated into clear project deliverables.

· Manage client expectations around scope, timescales, dependencies and risks.

· Handle escalations professionally and work collaboratively to resolve delivery challenges.

· Ensure projects deliver the expected business and operational outcomes.

Technical Team Coordination:

You will work closely with technical specialists across areas such as:

· SD-WAN

· LAN & Wireless

· Network Security

· Security Operations Centre (SOC)

· Identity & Access Management (IAM)

· Privileged Access Management (PAM)

· Endpoint Security

· You will not be expected to configure or engineer these technologies yourself. Instead, you will be responsible for bringing the right technical people together, coordinating their activities and ensuring technical deliverables are completed as part of the overall project.

· Commercial & Resource Management

· Work with internal teams to ensure projects are appropriately resourced.

· Coordinate internal and third-party resources.

· Monitor project budgets, costs and resource utilisation.

· Identify potential commercial risks and scope creep.

· Support project forecasting and financial reporting.

· Work with account and commercial teams where additional client requirements arise.

· Ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual commitments.

Requirements

The successful candidate does not need to be a deep technical specialist. However, they should have a good understanding of IT infrastructure and be comfortable working alongside technical teams delivering solutions across networking, cyber security and end-user environments.

This is an ideal role for an experienced IT Project Manager who enjoys working in a client-facing IT services environment, managing multiple projects and coordinating technical delivery teams., · Proven experience as an IT Project Manager delivering infrastructure, technology or managed service projects.

· Formal project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, Agile, MSP or equivalent.

· Experience working within an IT services, MSP, systems integrator or technology services environment.

· Strong project planning, governance and delivery skills.

· Experience managing multiple stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

· Strong client-facing and communication skills.

· Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies and changes.

· Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects.

· Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project budgets and scope.

· Confident working with technical specialists without needing to be a technical expert.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:

· Experience or exposure to projects involving one or more of:

· SD-WAN / WAN transformation

· LAN / Wi-Fi deployments

· Network infrastructure

· Network security

· SOC / security operations, * Senior Project Manager: 5 years (preferred)
