Design Engineer / Junior Design Engineer

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on a varied range of mechanical design projects within a modern manufacturing environment. Working closely with production and assembly teams, you will have the opportunity to see your designs progress into finished products while developing your technical and commercial engineering skills., Design Engineering: Design mechanical components, assemblies and equipment from engineering briefs. Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings suitable for production.

• Shop Floor Collaboration: Work closely with production, manufacturing and assembly teams to gather practical feedback, resolve design issues and continually improve designs.

• Design & Data Management: Maintain accurate engineering drawings and documentation, prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), support costing activities and manage design changes.

• Layout Design & Concepts: Create 3D models, 2D drawings, general arrangements and engineering layouts to support projects and customer requirements.

Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline, OR proven experience in a Mechanical Design Engineering role.

• Experience with 3D CAD modeling with the ability to produce accurate, detailed manufacturing drawings.

• Understanding of mechanical engineering principles, components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
