Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. \n

  • Available to complete a 10-week, approximately 40-hour-per-week in Cleveland from early June through early August 2027. \n

  • Academic or hands-on experience with at least one programming language. \n

  • Foundational understanding of software engineering concepts, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. \n

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. \n

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team. \n

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, ask questions, and receive feedback. \n, * Previous technical experience through coursework, internships, hackathons, research, or personal projects.

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software alongside experienced engineers. \n

  • Write and test code using and technologies such as Java, JavaScript, React, and other tools within CHAMP’s technology stack. \n

  • Apply software engineering concepts including data structures, algorithms, APIs, object-oriented programming, and software design principles. \n

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and other stages of the software development lifecycle. \n

  • Collaborate with engineers, Product teams, fellow interns, and other stakeholders throughout your project. \n

  • Participate in team meetings and communicate project progress, challenges, and results. \n

  • Receive ongoing guidance, mentorship, and feedback from CHAMP team members. \n

  • Participate in professional development, networking, and learning opportunities throughout the summer. \n

  • Present your project and results to CHAMP employees and leadership during the end-of-summer Showcase. \n
