Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure

• Du betreibst und verbesserst unsere Azure-Infrastruktur, unter anderem Azure Front Door, VM Scale Sets, Netzwerk, Storage und Backups.
• Du automatisierst Infrastruktur und Deployments und entwickelst unsere CI/CD-Pipelines weiter.
• Du sorgst mit Monitoring, Logging und Alarmierung dafür, dass Probleme früh erkannt und gezielt behoben werden.
• Du verantwortest den zuverlässigen Betrieb unserer PostgreSQL-Datenbanken, einschließlich Performance, Backups und getesteter Wiederherstellung.
• Bei Produktionsstörungen übernimmst du die technische Analyse, koordinierst die Behebung und leitest dauerhafte Verbesserungen ab.
• Du dokumentierst und testest Recovery- und Failover-Verfahren anhand definierter RTO- und RPO-Ziele.
• Du stärkst Zugriffsschutz, Secrets Management und sichere Änderungsprozesse.
• Du hältst die Betriebsdokumentation aktuell und unterstützt bei technischen Nachweisen für interne Prüfungen und Kunden.

• Du hast mehrere Jahre praktische Erfahrung im Betrieb geschäftskritischer Produktionssysteme auf Microsoft Azure.
• Du kennst Linux, Netzwerke, Automatisierung und Infrastructure as Code, beispielsweise mit Terraform oder Pulumi.
• Du hast CI/CD-Pipelines, containerisierte Anwendungen und PostgreSQL bereits selbst im produktiven Betrieb betreut.
• Du kannst konkrete Beispiele für von dir bearbeitete Produktionsstörungen und getestete System- oder Datenbank-Recoverys nennen.
• Du triffst fundierte technische Entscheidungen, erklärst Abwägungen verständlich und übernimmst Verantwortung bis in den laufenden Betrieb.
• Du kommunizierst sicher auf Englisch.

Erfahrung mit GitHub Actions, Fly.io, Elixir/Phoenix sowie einem ISO-27001- oder DORA-bezogenen Umfeld ist hilfreich, aber keine Voraussetzung.

Nach unserem Wechsel zu Azure suchen wir eine erfahrene Person, die Verantwortung für unsere produktive Plattform übernimmt und sie gemeinsam mit unserem CTO und dem Entwicklungsteam weiterentwickelt., FIASCO builds digital solutions for processes in the insurance industry. Our systems are used in production by business customers. Reliable operations, data protection and tested recovery are therefore essential to us.

Following our move to Azure, we are looking for an experienced engineer to take ownership of our production platform and develop it further together with our CTO and software team.

Your responsibilities

• Operate and improve our Azure infrastructure, including Azure Front Door, VM Scale Sets, networking, storage and backups.
• Automate infrastructure and deployments and develop our CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve monitoring, logging and alerting to detect and resolve issues early.
• Ensure reliable PostgreSQL operations, including performance, backups and tested recovery.
• Lead the technical investigation of production incidents, coordinate resolution and implement lasting improvements.
• Document and test recovery and failover procedures against defined RTO and RPO targets.
• Strengthen access controls, secrets management and secure change processes.
• Maintain operational documentation and support technical evidence for internal reviews and customer audits.

Your profile

• Several years of hands-on experience operating business-critical production systems on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, automation and infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Practical production experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications and PostgreSQL.
• Concrete experience resolving production incidents and testing system or database recovery.
• Sound technical judgment, clear communication and ownership through to day-to-day operation.
• Confident communication in English.
