Job description
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer to support the planning, implementation, and feature development of an enterprise Laboratory Information System (LIS)., In this role, you will work on both new and existing Java/Spring Boot applications, building scalable backend services, dynamic Angular frontends, and robust database layers. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle-from design and coding to automated testing, verification, and deployment in an Agile environment., * Design, build, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Hibernate.
- Write clean, maintainable code and manage relational database operations across PostgreSQL and MS SQL.
- Perform end-to-end testing and verification to ensure system performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate in an Agile team structure, participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, optimize backend services, and integrate frontend components seamlessly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (plus 1+ years of professional experience + internships). OR
- Associate’s degree in CS/Engineering + 3+ years of professional software engineering experience (including 2+ years of core application coding).
- Core Stack: Hands-on proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL.
- Domain Experience: Prior project work on healthcare applications (or similar data-sensitive, regulated systems) doing end-to-end full-stack development, including testing and verification.
- Languages: 2+ years coding applications or services in a high-level language (Java, C#, C++, Golang, etc.).
- SDLC & Agile: Solid understanding of professional software engineering practices, including Agile workflows, Git source control, code reviews, and build/test processes.
- Hardware Requirement: Must bring your own equipment/laptop (hardware will not be provided for this engagement).
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Hands-on experience using AI development tools (Claude, OpenAI Codex).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure or Google Cloud Platform) and open-source tools.
- Experience with distributed systems, big data/analytics, or business intelligence products.
- Direct background working with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or healthcare IT standards., * Hardware Requirement: Must bring your own equipment/laptop (hardware will not be provided for this engagement) - Are you comfortable providing your own equipment for this contract? Yes or No?
