Junior Software Engineer, Internal Systems & Support

Hashery is seeking a Full-time junior engineer who’s comfortable wearing two hats: keeping our team’s day-to-day tech running smoothly, and making real improvements to our internal platform and brand websites using modern AI-assisted development tools. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow into a systems/software engineering track while building a strong foundation in how our business actually runs - from the network closet to the codebase.

What you’ll be responsible for

• In-store and in-office IT support (hardware, devices, connectivity)
• First-line technical support for the team across our internal platform and brand websites
• Network administration - wifi, routers, general troubleshooting
• Device and asset management (Windows and macOS setup, printers, POS hardware)
• Systems integration - connecting and maintaining the tools our business runs on
• Making incremental changes and improvements to internal systems using our existing tech stack and AI development tools

Must-haves

• Comfortable with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
• Comfortable with Slack
• Windows and macOS device setup and troubleshooting
• Networking basics: wifi, routers, connectivity troubleshooting
• Experience with printers and point-of-sale hardware
• GitHub: working day to day in a repository. Branching, opening pull requests, and making a change to a live platform safely.
• Supabase, Firebase, or a similar database platform experience
• Vercel & general hosting management experience
• AI development tools: Claude Code, Cursor, Codex
• Lovable, Claude Design
• REST APIs and third-party integrations

Nice to haves

• Shopify, WordPress, or a similar e-commerce/CMS platform
• Figma or Adobe design tools
• Workflow automation: n8n, Zapier, Make

Someone early in their career who’s genuinely curious about both IT operations and software engineering, and who wants hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools to ship real changes - not just theoretical coding practice. You’ll be trusted with production systems from day one, with support from the team as you grow.
