Job description

SystemsAccountants are working with an Academy Trust currently implementing Sage Intacct from PS Financials, who are seeking a client-side Sage Intacct Implementation Lead/Project Manager to provide the technical and governance expertise to ensure a successful go-live. The successful candidate will come from a finance background, with a strong knowledge of the system capabilities of Sage Intacct and ability to translate business requirements into an effective finance systems solution.

Role Responsibilities

  • Joining an in-flight implementation as a Sage Intacct for Education Subject Matter Expert

  • A swift and structured review of the current system build and configuration, assessing the solution against best practice benchmarks and contracted deliverables

  • Provide tighter governance and establish clear quality standards.

  • Liaise with the 3 rd party Sage Intacct SI, holding the partner to account and constructively challenging decisions.

  • Tighten financial controls across procure-to-pay (P2P), supplier and bank processes, payments, and access and segregation of duties

  • Automate AP processes within Sage Intacct

  • Ensure the final solution reflects best practice across financial processes and controls.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Sage?, Demonstrable experience leading Sage Intacct implementations end-to-end

  • Experience leading a Sage Intacct for Education implementation within the education industry

  • A solid finance background with good accounting knowledge across AP, AR, banking integrations etc.

  • Experience managing projects, with good understanding of governance and RAID principles

  • Thorough knowledge of P2P processes, financial controls, audit requirements, fraud risk, and access control design

  • Familiarity with multi-entity finance structures, as well as working knowledge of VAT complexity and banking or payment integrations

  • A track record of working client-side, alongside and in oversight of implementation partners

  • The ability to operate at both strategic and delivery levels as the situation demands

  • Background in Multi-Academy Trusts, education, or the wider public sector
