Job description
Responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance and improvement of master data and pricing across SAP and related systems. As part of the Supply Chain Department, you will ensure master-data integrity that supports planning, production, costing and commercial processes. Principal Accountabilities
- Material masters: Create and maintain product material master records in SAP, including classification, units of measure, procurement types, MRP parameters and labelling matrices.
- Customer pricing: Maintain customer pricing conditions in SAP across multiple sales organisations and countries, ensuring approval processes are correct and compliant.
- BOMs, routings and production versions: Create and update Bills of Materials, routings and production versions using Variant Configurator to ensure accuracy for MRP, production and costing.
- Mass changes and data tables: Perform periodic mass changes, maintain supporting data tables and run data quality checks to prevent MRP or production disruption.
- Product costing: Carry out product costing updates and support costing reconciliations with Finance to ensure accurate standard costs, inventory valuation and margin calculations.
- Governance and documentation: Own change control, approvals and audit trails for master-data updates; create and maintain standard operating procedures and process maps, especially during system changes.
- Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships across planning, production, commercial, IT and finance to drive data-management best practice.
- Support and continuous improvement: Provide day-to-day user support, root-cause analysis for data issues and lead continuous-improvement initiatives to reduce manual work and incidents.
Requirements
- Education: Good general level of education (minimum A level or equivalent, including English and Maths).
- SAP Master Data: Practical experience with SAP product master data and pricing in ECC or S/4HANA ideal. Familiarity with mass-change tools would be an advantage.
- IT skills: High-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and handling large, complex data sets. Confident user of the wider Microsoft Office suite.
- Manufacturing and costing knowledge: Understanding of product structures, production processes, MRP methodologies, product costing, and inventory valuation within a manufacturing environment.
- Professional competencies: A logical, organised and safety-conscious approach to work, with exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
