  • Assist with the development, analysis, configuration, and implementation of storage architectures.
  • Gather and analyze application and end-user storage requirements and I/O performance needs.
  • Determine the proper storage layouts and disaster recovery profiles.
  • Ensure that all service platforms and applications are backed up according to established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, enhance, and deploy new and existing software and hardware technologies within our testing lab.
  • Provide hands-on datacenter support involving servers, devices, and/or storage.

Engineering & Operational Support

  • Act as an engineering-level escalation resource to the Network Operations Center (NOC) and other operations groups to assist with high-level fault analysis and isolation.
  • Assist and contribute to the analysis, configuration, and deployment of high-availability systems and storage architecture.
  • Work closely with other team members on new technology and systems solutions.
  • Collaborate with networking and security teams to deliver solutions for both internal business units and end customers.
  • Provide professional support to customers, both internal and external.
  • Document systems and application design and configuration.
  • Participate in future technology direction discussions, leveraging experience and active research.
  • Mentor other colleagues in areas of expertise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
