Job description

Duties: Lead and manage complex database systems in on-premises and cloud environments. Design and implement scalable, high-performance database systems for mission critical healthcare applications using relational and no relational database platforms. (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB). Architect database solutions for containerized, multi-tenant applications across on-premises and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Develop and execute data migration strategies, including on premises to cloud and datacenter to co-location migrations. Manage and optimize large-scale SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure high availability, disaster recovery (HA/DR), and performance. Implement advanced replication strategies and backup/recovery solutions. Proactively monitor and troubleshoot performance issues using native and third-party tools. Drive routine maintenance tasks, including patching, compaction, and index optimization. Lead database lifecycle management, including version upgrades, capacity planning, and vulnerability remediation. Design, implement, and maintain scalable database systems to support core product functionality and ongoing feature development. Partner with product engineering and support teams to troubleshoot production issues, optimize performance, and ensure data reliability across environments., Implementing high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions, including replication, backup, and recovery. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining databases, including patching, compaction, index optimization, and version upgrades. Database lifecycle management and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and ensure data reliability.

Requirements

Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management or related field and six (6) years of experience as a Database Administrator or related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management or related field and four (4) years of experience as a Database Administrator or related occupation. Position requires experience in the following: designing, implementing, and managing relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases in on-premises and cloud environments. Building scalable, high-performance, and highly available database architectures for mission-critical applications. Deploying database solutions for containerized and multi-tenant applications. Developing and executing data migration strategies, including on-premises to cloud and datacenter to co-location migrations. Database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and capacity planning.
