Key Responsibilities:Support engine and transmission build and test operations, including management of engine components and dyno dress kitsTranslate engineering requirements into practical work requests, including instrumentation, build, and teardown activitiesCoordinate the shipment of components to suppliers and external test sitesFollow technical documentation including build books, drawings, sketches, and repair manualsCarry out vehicle modifications, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenanceApply knowledge of chain drive systems, gears, and tension beltsOperate hand and power tools, ensuring accurate torque application and adherence to specificationsIdentify and document lessons learned to support continuous improvementOperate vehicles safely, maintaining high safety standards and sound judgementEnsure all activities are completed with accurate documentation and aligned to project milestones and deliverables
Requirements
Key Requirements:Minimum 3+ years of automotive experience, ideally within engine or transmission testing supportStrong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a high level of attention to detailExperience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and trackingDiploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE or equivalent in engine repair/tuning) are advantageousKnowledge of engine systems, drivetrain components, and testing environmentsFull UK driving licence required If you’re looking to work hands-on with cutting-edge automotive technology and contribute to the development of next-generation powertrain systems within a fast-paced engineering environment, apply today.
