Sr. Software Engineer with DIA TS Clearance

We build defense-grade, production-ready AI systems designed to address real national security challenges at scale. This is neither a DevOps nor a maintenance position-it is a hands-on engineering role for senior builders who want to architect, deliver, and continuously improve high-impact software used by hundreds or thousands of users.

You will contribute across a combination of new IRAD initiatives and established products, playing a direct role in architectural decisions, feature development, and modernization efforts. We are building a small, highly capable engineering team and are deliberate about selecting the people who become part of it.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Building/evolving AI-powered applications using modern frameworks and open-source tools
• Designing and shipping production-grade software with real users, not hobby projects
• Developing backend systems in Rust and application layers in Django
• Working with large language models and AI tooling, including OpenAI-based systems
• Contributing to new product development as well as modernizing existing platforms
• Collaborating closely with leadership and other senior engineers to shape technical direction
• Operating as a true individual contributor with autonomy and accountability, We take the candidate experience seriously while maintaining a high bar.

• 8-12 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of experience developing and supporting enterprise-level or production-grade software.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI development tools, or OpenAI-style frameworks.
• Proven track record of delivering software used by hundreds or thousands of users.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities, propose solutions, and execute independently.
• Comfortable taking full ownership of projects and technical problems from initial concept through deployment.
• Prior experience in national security or defense is not required, but a genuine interest in the field is expected., * Strong software development and coding expertise using modern programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools for software development, modernization, automation, or digital transformation.
• Proficiency in one or more modern technology stacks, such as Node.js, React, Angular, or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with Rust or Django is a plus, but not required.
• Proven ability to develop, maintain, enhance, and modernize applications while following current software engineering best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the adaptability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment.

• Must have DIA TS Clearance, * Do you have strong experience with AI modernization tools, as well as solid coding and software development experience?

• Base salary range: $150,000 to $220,000
• Exceptional candidates may be considered at higher compensation levels
