DevEx Engineer

We’re working with an innovative technology business undergoing a major AI-first engineering transformation and are looking for a DevEx Engineer to help shape the future of software delivery, tooling, and engineering productivity. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer passionate about developer enablement, internal tooling, automation, and the practical application of AI across the software development lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in improving the developer journey, streamlining workflows, and helping engineering teams adopt modern AI-powered tooling and practices. What You’ll Be Doing:Build and enhance internal developer tooling and servicesSupport the integration of AI-powered engineering tools, coding assistants, and agentic workflowsImprove developer productivity by identifying bottlenecks and optimising engineering workflowsDrive automation across onboarding, CI/CD, and development environmentsHelp define engineering standards, documentation, and best practicesWork closely with Product, Platform, and Engineering teams to improve developer experienceContribute to scalable, resilient tooling and cloud-native infrastructure

What We’re Looking For:Experience in Developer Experience, Platform Engineering, Internal Tooling, or Developer Productivity environmentsExposure to AI / Generative AI tools within engineering workflowsStrong AWS and cloud infrastructure knowledgeHands-on experience with Terraform, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and observability toolingStrong scripting or automation skills using Python, Go, or similarExperience working within large-scale object-oriented systemsPassion for improving engineering efficiency and developer workflows
