Job description

· Design and implement data pipelines following medallion architecture principles.

· Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT processes for ingesting and transforming structured and unstructured data.

· Build and manage data models that support reporting and analytics in Power BI.

· Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.

· Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across all layers of the data platform.

· Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues in Microsoft SQL Server environments.

· Implement best practices for data security, access control, and compliance.

· Document data flows, architecture, and processes for maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Experience designing and implementing medallion architecture.
  • Solid experience with Power BI, including dataset modeling, DAX, and report optimization.
  • Proficiency in building and managing ETL/ELT processes using pipelines and Spark.
  • Strong understanding of modern data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed data systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Preferred: Experience with data lake technologies and modern data platforms.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Python, Spark, or similar tools for data processing.
  • Preferred: Exposure to CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
  • Nice to have: Experience with real-time or streaming data pipelines.
  • Nice to have: Certifications related to data engineering or business intelligence tools.
