Network Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join a growing technology team in the Phoenix area. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure while ensuring reliability, security, and performance across the organization’s IT environment., * Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments.

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot network outages, connectivity issues, latency concerns, and security incidents.
• Collaborate with systems, cloud, security, and application teams to support business-critical initiatives.
• Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewall policies, network segmentation, and VPN access.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, and technology refresh projects.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability network solutions.
• Perform capacity planning and recommend infrastructure enhancements to support organizational growth.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and industry best practices.
• Participate in on-call support rotations and assist with after-hours maintenance activities when necessary.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, and network security, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and support ongoing technology initiatives., * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and switching technologies.
• Experience configuring and supporting Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar networking platforms.
• Hands-on experience with firewall administration and network security best practices.
• Experience supporting wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills., * Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud networking technologies in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and network automation tools.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
