Job description
The Claims Division is seeking a team member to join the Claims Operations Team as a Data Quality Analyst. In this role the responsibilities include, but not limited to, examining complex data to ensure data integrity and accuracy. Responsibilities
- Analyze, query, and manage claims corrections according to defined business rules and procedures
- Research and determine scope and complexity of issue then identify steps to resolve all internal data exceptions within various systems in timely and accurate manner
- Determine root cause for data quality errors and make recommendations for long-term solutions
- Determine business impact level for data quality issues
- Collaborate and maintain cross-functional working relationships with team members of multiple business units; Claims Third-party Administrators (TPA), Programmers, and approved vendors to analyze and correct data quality errors
- Produce ad-hoc reporting for TPA, Business, IT teams, and external partners
Requirements
- Hands-on experience and strong aptitude with SQL, with some experience in Snowflake preferred
- Working knowledge of insurance industry and insurance claims operations particularly in the area of commercial property and casualty claims
- Adherence to data quality standards to ensure accuracy and provide logical approach to identify, compare, resolve, and improve data quality
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to self-start and work independently
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
