Junior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

An active TS/SCI is preferred; however, the ability to obtain is required with sponsorship available. The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree or higher in engineering or related field with 1-3 years of experience. This position will largely be performed at Awetomaton Beavercreek HQ, with occasional trips to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base for meetings and software deliveries once able to. • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form with peers & decision makers
• Ability to work and collaborate effectively both within a team and independently
• Demonstrate initiative when faced with limited guidance or ambiguous requirements
• Experience in modern web application technologies including TypeScript, React, NodeJS, etc.
• Experience in building and integrating RESTful APIs and server-side logic using Python

Required Experience and Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Engineering discipline
• 0 to 3 years of minimum experience in a software focused engineering career (Software Engineer, Computer Science, etc.)
• 0 to 3 years of experience developing web applications with React
• 0 to 3 years of minimum experience in JavaScript / TypeScript, CSS/SASS/LESS, HTML
• 0 to 3 years of experience developing applications with Python
• 0 to 3 years experience with software configuration management using Git

Desired Education and Experience

• Experience with Python frameworks like FastAPI or similar
• Experience with web mapping technologies such as Cesium
• Experience with Postgresql or similar database technologies
• Experience with database design, querying, and integration (e.g., ORM tools like SQLAlchemy)
• Expertise with Container Technology (Docker / podman / etc.)
