Systems Security Engineer IV/Cybersecurity Team Co-Lead - 304220

The Systems Security Engineer IV at AFRL will have specialized knowledge or experience in federal or corporate Cybersecurity with 5-10 years’ experience in the following:

• Vulnerability Management

• Vulnerability scanning/identification

• Mitigation/remediation

• Threat Defense

• Threat Hunting
• Intrusion detection/protection
• SIEM Log/Event correlation
• Traffic Analysis and trending

Equipment/Systems:

This position requires frequent use of computers, printers, and various software applications. Experience with MS Office products, ticketing systems, and IT asset management software is essential., The Systems Security Engineer IV role requires attention to detail, accuracy, excellent listening skills, and effective communication. Technical proficiency in computer hardware, software, and networking is also required. The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently is critical., Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140 certification.
• 5+ years of experience in computer support or IT customer service.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience with government IT asset management (ITAM) systems.
• CompTIA Security+ or higher level Cybersecurity certificates.
• Degree preferred, but not required.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

• Requires active Secret clearance from the U.S. Government depending on position
