Software Developer

The role of Programmer at Ganymede Technologies Inc. includes many responsibilities. This position involves creating, modifying, and testing code to enable computer applications, working from specifications provided by software developers and other stakeholders in the company. The programmer assists in analyzing user needs, designing software solutions, and developing programs to store, locate, and retrieve data. Key responsibilities include writing and maintaining programs, conducting trial runs, performing system analysis, and preparing detailed instructions for the Quality Assurance team. Flexibility is a requirement as this is a fast paced environment with often rapidly changing responsibilities and projects.

The qualifications for this role include a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and two or more years of relevant programming experience. Essential skills involve language proficiency for technical interpretation and clear communication, mathematical skills for practical and financial calculations, and computer skills in MFC, Visual C++ 2022, C#, and SQL, preferably Postgres SQL. Knowledge of Pervasive/Actian database a plus. Working knowledge of using AI, preferably Claude Code, to write and optimize code is required or at least the willingness to embrace using AI daily to enhance your development projects. The job also requires ongoing technical learning, self-reliance, and strong communication abilities. The physical demands include remaining stationary for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. The work environment is generally low to moderate in noise level and climate controlled.., * Proven experience in software development with a strong understanding of programming languages including Java, Python, C++, C, VBA, or Ruby on Rails.

• Strong grasp of database management systems including MySQL or SQL Server; experience with system design for data-intensive applications is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
