Job description

  • Actively participate in the internal RFP process with Vantage teams
  • Design proposal templates incorporating Vantage’s latest schematics, diagrams, and features
  • Develop all technical support for the sales team
  • Work with client requirements regarding capacity needs and timing; coordinate those requirements with the capabilities of VDC
  • Maintain a current understanding of the build schedule of all developments across Europe by collaborating with the New Site Development Team (Europe).
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to Solutions Engineering by building and growing the role to meet the needs of VDC and its customers
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, design architectural overviews
  • Engineer solutions which demonstrate cost reductions and operational improvements.
  • Engage in detailed network, power, cooling, and space assessment of customer’s current and proposed IT environments.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Microsoft PowerPoint?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, The Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for supporting the successful development and execution of technical solutions programs. This key member of the Sales Solutions & Engineering team demonstrates a proven track record of delivering measurable, sophisticated solutions and engineering experience. The role requires a strategic problem solver with strong tactical execution skills, as well as excellent communication and presentation abilities across a wide range of Vantage teams.

Experience with wholesale data centers, colocation, interconnection, cloud, managed solutions and professional services is preferred. Alternatively, experience within other critical environments, such as nuclear facilities, hospitals, or submarines is desirable., * Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience is required.

  • Experience in designing critical infrastructure or Data centers will be a plus.
  • Excellent power point presentation skills and a feeling for aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with and present information to the team (especially in remote team set-up).
  • Orientation to detail with the ability to see the big picture.
  • Excellent multitasking skills.
  • Inquisitive mindset.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving ability.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships effectively.
