Job description
- Solution Design & Implementation: Design and implement Cohesity backup and recovery solutions across diverse platforms, including Windows, Linux, VMware, cloud environments, and NAS.
- Testing & Validation: Perform comprehensive backup and recovery testing to validate the integrity and effectiveness of the Cohesity solution, including routine disaster recovery drills.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve Cohesity-related issues efficiently, escalating complex matters to Cohesity support when necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest Cohesity features, updates, and industry best practices. Proactively recommend optimizations and improvements to the environment.
- Strategic Contribution: Contribute valuable insights to overarching data protection and disaster recovery strategies.
- Knowledge Sharing: Develop and deliver training to other IT staff and relevant stakeholders on Cohesity operations and best practices.
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven experience in backup and recovery administration, with a strong, dedicated focus on Cohesity.
- Demonstrated hands-on Cohesity Installation and QuickStart experience.
- In-depth understanding of Cohesity architecture, features, and functionalities.
- Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing Cohesity DataProtect.
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery processes (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) within a Cohesity environment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to technical challenges.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to diverse teams.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus / Preferred Qualifications
- Cohesity-specific certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud-based backup and recovery services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with Cohesity is a major plus.

Candidates must be open to occasional travel for complex hardware installations, initial setup phases, or strategic company events. Candidates must be available to work within the Eastern Time Zone schedule and reside in one of the following states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nevada, or Kansas.
