Technical Program Manager

Kadir.ai is recruiting a Technical Program Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing artificial intelligence company building infrastructure for reinforcement-learning training data and evaluations.

In this role, you will lead complex, time-sensitive data and evaluation programs for frontier AI organizations, data vendors, and internal teams. You will translate ambiguous technical requirements into executable programs, coordinate stakeholders and dependencies, manage delivery from initial scoping through completion, and ensure that delivered datasets and evaluations are useful, reliable, and representative.

This position requires a combination of technical understanding, program ownership, data-quality judgment, operational discipline, and clear communication. You will also help improve the processes, documentation, automation, and internal tools needed to deliver increasingly complex programs at scale.

• This is a full-time position.
• San Francisco or Singapore is preferred.
• Remote candidates are welcome if they can maintain approximately 70-80% working-hour overlap with either the San Francisco or Singapore time zone.

• Translate ambiguous requests into clearly defined requirements, milestones, owners, dependencies, timelines, and acceptance criteria
• Coordinate research, engineering, operations, marketplace, and customer-facing teams
• Manage data-delivery pipelines and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle
• Track program risks, blockers, dependencies, and changing requirements
• Develop and improve data-quality procedures using quantitative signals and qualitative inspection
• Evaluate whether datasets and AI evaluations are useful, reliable, representative, and aligned with customer requirements
• Establish quality-control checkpoints and clear delivery standards
• Maintain momentum while priorities, scope, and technical requirements evolve
• Improve workflows, documentation, automation, and cross-functional handoffs
• Build repeatable operating processes for increasingly complex programs
• Communicate program status, risks, decisions, and technical findings to internal and external stakeholders
• Lead retrospectives and convert program lessons into measurable process improvements
• Feed delivery insights back into research, platform, and marketplace products
• Support multiple high-priority programs while maintaining delivery quality and accountability

• Technical program or project management
• Experience leading complex technical programs from planning through delivery
• Ability to translate ambiguous technical requests into executable plans
• Strong understanding of milestones, dependencies, risks, ownership, and acceptance criteria
• Quantitative and qualitative data-quality judgment
• Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication

• Experience managing vendors, partners, or external delivery teams

• Experience with AI evaluations, benchmarks, or reinforcement-learning workflows
• Familiarity with RLHF or human-feedback programs
• Experience with human-in-the-loop data pipelines
• Experience with annotation, labeling, or expert-data-collection programs
• Experience in AI/ML data operations or applied research
• Background in support engineering or forward-deployed engineering
• Experience working with frontier AI organizations or highly technical customers
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, APIs, data pipelines, or analytical tooling
• Experience designing quality-assurance procedures for complex datasets
• Early-stage startup experience
• Experience coordinating distributed teams across multiple time zones

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Demonstrated ownership of complex technical programs in one or more of the following areas:
• Artificial intelligence or machine learning
• Data operations
• Applied research
• Support engineering
• Forward-deployed engineering
• Software or platform delivery
• Technical customer implementation
• Experience managing a program through requirements, production, quality assurance, delivery, and retrospective
• Experience maintaining delivery momentum as requirements and priorities change
• Technical judgment, program ownership, and execution ability are more important than a fixed number of years of experience

EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, Program Management, or a related discipline is preferred
• A master’s degree or relevant research experience is beneficial but not required
