Job Developer

The Job Developer plays a critical role in assisting clients with navigating the job search and application process. Working closely with assigned Employment Specialist, this position focuses on identifying suitable job opportunities, matching them to client skills and goals, and providing hands-on support throughout the application process., * Collaborate with Employment Specialists to understand each client’s unique employment barriers and needs

• Proactively research and identify job openings that align with client skills and goals
• Establish and maintain relationships with employers to explore current and future hiring needs
• Maintain detailed records of job development activities, employer outreach, and communication
• Follow up with employers to verify job availability, application procedures, and hiring timelines
• Provide insight into employer expectations and assist in preparing clients for successful employment

• High school diploma or GED required; some college or relevant industry experience preferred
• Experience or familiarity with employment resources and job placement strategies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on professionalism and business etiquette
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to match job seekers with suitable employment opportunities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including OneDrive, Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Comfortable with technology and able to troubleshoot basic issues independently

Requirements:

• Must be a resident of Michigan
• Must have desktop or laptop computer with sufficient speed/memory
• Reliable wifi access
• 25 hours minimum required per week. Scheudle is flexible within M-F 8am-5pm.
