Senior Data Engineer

• Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity.
• Implements physical database designs to support analytical data requirements for performance and availability.
• Designs, implements, and maintains complex data engineering solutions to acquire and prepare data.
• Investigates enterprise data requirements where there is some complexity and ambiguity.
• Assesses, analyses, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change.
• Assesses and analyses release components for input to release scheduling.
• Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.

Do you have experience in Time management?, Working as part of the Technology team our ideal team member will have previous experience in implementing various data platform architectures, data lakes and data warehouses with excellent time management and organisational skills., * Approach problems systematically and objectively, analyse facts and evaluate options whilst drawing sound conclusions

• Build long lasting relationships with both internal and external customers
• Collaborate openly and effectively across functions to deliver change
• Possess an excellent attention to detail
• Remain focused and calm under pressure
• Present insight to and communicates effectively with a range of stakeholders including senior management
• Plan well and is able to balance multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:

• Identify dependencies and risks across multiple projects / delivery streams
• Have experience of implementing and supporting cloud data platforms such as Snowflake
• Have knowledge and experience of working in an Agile way
• Have financial services domain knowledge
