Job description

We’re looking for a part-time Software tester to help us improve the quality and reliability of our data science platform.

This is a remote role, ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, has a keen eye for detail, and can clearly communicate issues they discover. Initially, the role will be fully remote, with the possibility of occasional visits to London in the future if required.

ResponsibilitiesTest Execution

  • Execute existing test scripts across multiple browsers and devices.
  • Verify platform functionality and identify any unexpected behaviour.
  • Record results clearly and accurately.

Exploratory Testing

  • Explore the platform independently to identify bugs
  • Convert discovered issues into new test cases for future testing.

Defect Reporting & Tracking

  • Create clear, reproducible bug reports.
  • Distil issues into step-by-step test cases that developers can easily follow.
  • Track defects and testing progress using Notion and GitHub.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software testing?, * Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly and concisely.
  • Comfortable following structured testing and documenting results.
  • Good problem solving skills and logical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

Desirable

  • Previous software testing experience.
  • Experience using GitHub, Notion, or similar tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with web applications and browser based software.
  • Science A-Levels, STEM degree, or equivalent analytical background.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious and enjoys figuring out why things don’t work as expected. You should be comfortable investigating issues, documenting them clearly, and communicating effectively with the team.
