Technical Estimator - stage curtains / tracking, lighting & other products

Due to expansion, we are seeking a site estimator. This role involves: -

• Ascertaining customer’s requirements, either from face-to-face site visits or from technical plans/information provided by the customer
• Providing a detailed specification in order for a quotation to be raised, including product quantities, specifications, measurements, tools and fixings required
• Producing simple CAD drawings, eg room layout drawings
• Raising estimates and following them up with the customer
• Assisting with project management, sales and marketing and other tasks to assist with the smooth running of the division.

This role typically involves 2-3 days per week visiting site locations and the balance based in our Ilkeston office.

Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in Mechanical knowledge?, * A full driving licence

• Ability to interpret technical drawings such as plans, elevations and room data sheets
• A proven sales/technical estimating background - ideally in one of the products mentioned above but this is not essential OR an individual with excellent site mechanical/electrical knowledge looking to progress from an installation type role
• Good communication and computer skills
• A basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous
• Ability to use CAD software would be advantageous
