  • Supporting and delivering added functionality to existing in-house developed systems.
  • Development of new projects to support business requirements that are well-paced, interesting and technically challenging.
  • Managing software projects from initial conception through to completion.
  • Developing high quality, maintainable and scalable code.
  • Providing support for the installation and maintenance of systems and hardware.
  • Ensuring all aspects of network, infrastructure and cyber-security are considered and addressed., This family owned, technology led manufacturing group, are looking for a software developer to help enhance and evolve their group wide ERP solution. You will be an accomplished individual, that is keen to join an established organisation in the role of Software Developer, although the role could prove interesting to an individual that enjoys a mixed and varied set of responsibilities. The core part of the role will be developing the group’s in-house built software solution, whilst also having awareness of the entire system infrastructure from a full 360 perspective. You will be working as part of an agile IT set-up, in a compact, knowledgeable and highly functional team. It is of primary importance to the organisation that the chosen individual enjoys development and can evidence success with in-house bespoke ERP/IT systems. From day one, you will be trained on the mechanics of group wide systems and from this point, will progress to recommending and developing software/IT solutions & improvements to support the successful growth of the business. Requirements

  • Primary development environment - Delphi 10.4 and Microsoft SQL Server; experience in these areas would be preferable but other languages considered.
  • Strong commercial programming experience, with proficient knowledge of relational databases.
  • Crystal reporting or similar

Infrastructure: General exposure to a mix of the infrastructure below would be preferable

  • ESET (end point AV), Spambrella ( email security), Cisco Umbrellla ( Web Security) and KnowBe4 (user training)
  • Cyber Security Essential Plus (2022)
  • Mix of Virtualised and Onprem environment - HyperV.
  • AD Domain controller
  • SQL Server
  • Exchange Server
  • Intranet server
  • File & Print Servers
  • WSUS Server
  • Azure AD Sync
  • Phone System server
  • Linux Debian servers running various services
  • FortiGate for firewall management
  • CCTV
  • Dedicated onsite backup server
  • Dell hardware/switches
