Job description
We’re now looking for an IT Environment Manager to join our growing team. Under the direction of the UK IT Operations Manager the Environment Manager will be responsible for the coordination and management of application and system releases across various environments. Scheduling and control of specific environments across various disparate application landscapes.
Your role will require a strong understanding of Infrastructure/Application and Business systems to enable the scheduling of the required resources to be available to allow the Testing Streams to have the appropriate environments available.
You’ll be responsible for:
Environment Management:

Coordinates the End - End deployment to environments and processes under development structure in order to facilitate improve knowledge sharing between developers testers to maintain and improve quality and delivery speeds.

Raising of requests to change environments with internal and external teams and providers

Liaising with relevant IT Development/Support Groups across the UK Group to provide a environments to receive specific systems against affinity groups.

Advises on release packages for deployments to Test and Production environments

Provide management reports on status of environment lifecycle.

Contributes to the service introduction lifecycle

Conducts and controls effective communication channels between internal development teams.

Consistently promotes and delivers high-quality services to our customers

Works closely with the UK IT Operations Manager to enforce evolving working practices to improve quality and standards.

Requirements
Technical Expertise

Understands Client Server concepts
-
Understands browser / client specific compatibility issues.

Has worked in a pressured environment with internal and external parties.

Has experience of working at group level
-
Can demonstrate good service design and delivery standards

Has knowledge of ITIL V3 framework
-
Higher Education qualification in IT and or Management
Communication

Can direct a team and internal client meetings effectively.

Can keep technical and stakeholder teams well informed of changes within the organization
-
Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.

Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner.
-
Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Excellent interpersonal communication at all levels.

Ability to prepare good quality written documentation.

Benefits & conditions
Salary: Up to £50,000 dependent on experience + 3% flexible benefits + on target bonus of 10% + contributory pension, * Competitive salary with annual bonus
