Network Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Network Engineer to join a growing technology team based in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance and security of the organisation’s infrastructure & network environments.

EssentialPrevious experience in a Network Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer role.Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles.Experience supporting switching, routing, VLANs and VPN technologies.Experience administering firewalls and network security solutions.Knowledge of DNS, DHCP and network troubleshooting methodologies.Experience administering Windows Server environments.Experience with backup and recovery technologies.Strong understanding of IT security best practices.Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. DesirableExperience with Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, UniFi or similar networking technologies.Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation platforms.Knowledge of vulnerability management and endpoint security tools.Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 or similar security frameworks.Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Security+, Azure Administrator or equivalent.
