Job description

The Data Tribe at AlphaCredit is central to the organization’s data-driven transformation, tasked with creating value through data by developing data platforms, advanced analytics capabilities, AI solutions, reporting tools, and data governance practices. The Tribe consists of four teams: CoE Analytics & AI, CoE Data Governance, Visualization Solutions, and Squad Data Hub. The CoE Analytics & AI team leverages company data to produce analyses, predictive models, and Data & AI solutions that support business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and create measurable value. This team is involved throughout the data value creation cycle, including understanding business needs, framing use cases, conducting business analyses, developing statistical and AI models, measuring impact, supporting data-driven decision-making, and contributing to responsible and governed data use. AlphaCredit aims to strengthen its AI strategy, use cases, and governance in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements such as the EU AI Act. The AI Solution Lead will act as a senior technical and functional expert within the CoE Analytics & AI team, leading advanced Data Science and AI use cases from business scoping through operational deployment and monitoring, while providing hands-on guidance, advice, and coaching to strengthen team capabilities. The role involves close collaboration with business, Data, and IT teams to challenge needs, assess feasibility and value, and develop or supervise robust and scalable solutions. Additionally, the role includes defining, structuring, and implementing AlphaCredit’s enterprise-wide AI governance framework to ensure AI initiatives are consistently identified, assessed, approved, monitored, and managed regarding value, investment, risk, and regulatory compliance., + Lead Data Science and AI use cases end to end, from business scoping and value assessment through development, deployment, adoption, and performance monitoring.

  • Challenge business needs, assess feasibility, define success criteria, and provide clear recommendations to support prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Develop advanced analytics, Machine Learning, and generative AI solutions, or supervise their delivery when other team members or partners are involved.
  • Coordinate business, Data, and IT stakeholders, managing risks, dependencies, and decisions required to advance use cases.
  • Provide hands-on guidance, review the team’s work, and coach team members to strengthen their Data Science and AI capabilities.
  • Define and promote robust technical practices while advising business teams and management on AI opportunities, limitations, and implementation choices.
  • Lead the definition and implementation of AlphaCredit’s enterprise-wide AI governance framework, aligned with Group standards, responsible AI principles, and the EU AI Act.
  • Establish practical processes to identify and assess AI initiatives, validate implementations, support investment decisions, track expected and realized value, and ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.

Requirements

  • University degree in a quantitative or technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI, including end-to-end delivery of solutions from business scoping through production and monitoring.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, Machine Learning, and generative AI.
  • Solid understanding of industrialization and MLOps.
  • Experience acting as a senior technical reference, providing guidance, reviewing work, and coaching less experienced team members.
  • Ability to challenge business needs, assess value and feasibility, and translate complex topics into clear recommendations for business and management audiences.
  • Good understanding of enterprise-wide AI governance and ability to help establish frameworks to identify, assess, approve, and oversee AI initiatives, investments, value creation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and operating in a regulated environment.
  • Fluency in English and in either French or Dutch.
