Location:Hybrid - adhoc travel to Marlow officeDepartment:Data ServicesMonday-Friday Full TimeWe are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team.You will work with Microsoft technologies to design, develop and support enterprise-scale data solutions that improve customer experiences and help colleagues make informed, data-driven decisions.Working closely with Architects, Senior Engineers and business stakeholders, you will take ownership of solutions from initial concept through to implementation. You will translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, resolve complex data challenges and identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality and business outcomes.What you’ll be doingDesigning and delivering scalable data solutions using Microsoft technologiesDeveloping data integration solutions and pipelines using ETL and ELT approachesWorking with stakeholders to understand, challenge and refine requirementsTranslating

business needs into sustainable technical solutionsInvestigating complex data issues and recommending practical solutionsCollaborating with Data Science, Digital, Core Systems and other technical teamsContributing to Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing and quality assuranceProducing clear technical documentation, release notes and support materialsEnsuring solutions meet data governance, security, privacy and regulatory requirementsIdentifying delivery risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvementSupporting the continuous improvement of engineering practices, processes and toolingWhat we’re looking forAt least five years’ experience in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence deliveryStrong experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and SSRSStrong SQL skills, including experience with T-SQL and DAXExperience designing and developing ETL and ELT data pipelinesA solid understanding of data warehousing, data modelling, dimensional modelling and data architectureStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience gathering, analysing and refining requirements with business stakeholdersThe ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes independentlyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience working within an Agile delivery environmentIt would be an advantage if you haveExperience within mortgages, financial services or another regulated environmentExperience with Power BI, including dashboards, reporting and semantic modelsKnowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure FunctionsExperience consuming APIs and working with JSON or XMLKnowledge of Python, C# or PowerShellExperience with Git repositories and branching strategiesKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code and DevOps tooling, including Bicep, YAML and CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of Power Platform technologiesRelevant Microsoft or Azure Data Platform certificationsYou will join a collaborative, high-performing team where you can take ownership of meaningful data initiatives, work across a broad Microsoft technology stack and contribute to the continued development of our data platform.If you are a proactive Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working with stakeholders and delivering reliable, high-quality solutions, we would like to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
