Your Role And Responsibilities We are seeking a Managing Application Developer to support IBM’s Public Sector and Defence projects by leading cloud development initiatives. In this role, you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based applications while mentoring junior and mid-level developers. You will manage the full software development lifecycle, with a strong focus on designing, coding, testing, and deploying cloud-native solutions using modern full-stack technologies. Responsibilities System Design: Architect, develop, and maintain secure, scalable cloud applications using full-stack technologies, aligned with the needs of IBM’s Public Sector and Defence clients. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting a culture of innovation, quality, and technical excellence. Problem-Solving: Oversee the resolution of complex technical challenges, applying deep expertise in full-stack cloud development to mission-critical environments. Continuous Improvement: Enhance development practices and processes, ensuring they meet industry standards and IBM delivery expectations. Technical Vision: Influence and shape the technical direction of cloud application development within the Public Sector and Defence portfolio. Project Leadership: Lead smaller projects end-to-end, from architecture and design through deployment, demonstrating strong technical and project leadership. experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and services. Leadership: Proven leadership qualities, with a track record of managing teams and delivering projects.
