Job description
- Participate as a member of an Agile team to complete support requests and enhancement projects as well as technical analysis, design, development, unit testing, patch testing, and QA testing.
- Development using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, HTML, JavaScript, ASP.Net, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, and WordPress.
- Participate in all Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review/Demo, Daily Stand Up and Sprint Retrospective.
- Effectively communicate with Agile teams, IT Department, Business, and Management.
- Keep up to date on new technologies.
- Follow software development standards and change control process.
- Must embrace a service-oriented mentality with a high sense of ownership in fielding requests and resolving issues.
- Must have the ability to write readable, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Creating reliable configuration and technical system documentation for the purposes of knowledge transfer, improving software quality, and minimizing support costs.
- Must have the ability to integrate with third-party platforms and Web services/APIs.
- Working with vendors, as necessary, to implement solutions and complete projects.
- Performing installations and upgrades, providing support, and troubleshooting system issues during office hours and after-hours, as required by the business.
- Can answer technical questions from others.
- The Software Developer is an office-based role. Regular, predictable on-site attendance is required. Eligibility for up to one (1) remote workday per week may be permitted, subject to business needs and departmental guidelines.
- Perform core job responsibilities through regular in-person collaboration, including participation in meetings, team discussions, and cross-functional coordination.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and leadership in a shared work environment to support innovation and timely decision-making, problem-solving, and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain a consistent on-site presence to support and respond to day-to-day business needs, including attendance of scheduled meetings and real-time collaboration as needed to ensure alignment on department and company priorities.
- Meet regularly with manager in-person to align on workload, priorities, performance, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
The IT Department is seeking a motivated Software Developer who will be based out of a Missouri office. This position will be part of an agile team working on a project backlog for reporting, custom applications and JDE EnterpriseOne customizations., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, OR equivalent combination of relevant education and experience required.
- Two or more years related experience required.
- JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development is a plus.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office 365 applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, and hosting with IIS.
- Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Team-oriented and experience working within a collaborative environment.
- Experience and/or training with relational database required.
- Microsoft SQL database experience required.
- Microsoft SQL Server Report Services and Integration Services experience preferred.
- WordPress experience preferred.
- Prior experience using HTML/HTML5, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, JSON, XML, and CSS/CSS3 is preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM), or e-commerce is a plus.
