Job description

Our client is building a new IT audit team and is seeking an IT Staff Auditor to work alongside its recently hired IT Audit Manager. • Execute IT audit procedures and adjust testing based on identified risks.
  • Evaluate evidence, document testing and conclusions, and maintain clear audit workpapers.
  • Assess IT general controls, including access, change management, and system operations, as well as application controls.
  • Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and potential risks.
  • Develop initial audit observations and help communicate findings and recommendations to management.
  • Build relationships with IT stakeholders and coordinate testing and documentation with external audit partners.
  • Manage assigned work and timelines while continuing to develop technical audit skills.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, or an IT risk-related role, including IT-specific audit work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of audit standards, risk assessments, internal controls, and foundational IT concepts.
  • Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present technical findings in clear, business-focused language and communicate comfortably with IT leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and handle confidential information professionally.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Interest in pursuing a certification such as CISA or CIA is preferred.
