AWS Healthcare Cloud Architect/Engineer

As a member of our Cloud Services team, you will have the opportunity to assist healthcare customers with the design, implementation, and management of AWS public cloud services, including mission critical workloads like EHRs. You will work in direct partnership with leadership and engagement managers to support our customers with realizing the value of public cloud within healthcare.

• 6+ years of experience in a solutions architect or similar role; 4+ years focused on cloud environments and their supporting infrastructures \n

• 2+ years of healthcare IT related experience \n

• Degree in any related field or equivalent experience \n

• Strong understanding of cloud computing technology and infrastructure as well as experience designing and migrating applications to the cloud \n

• Experience with Healthcare Applications and enterprise EHRs \n

• Experience supporting both Windows and Linux/Open-Source operating systems \n

• Understanding of hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS Direct Connect, Outposts, Storage Gateway) \n

• Hands on experience with establishing net new/green field cloud environments, including AWS Landing Zone / Control Tower and multi-account strategy \n

• Experience with the full life cycle of a cloud migration \n

• Experience with architecture and automation of Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capabilities including VPC networking, EC2, Auto Scaling and load balancing, S3, RDS and other managed data services \n

• Advanced skills diagnosing and resolving issues independently and as part of a team, * Experience using, deploying, or operating Epic on AWS (roles like ECSA, ODBA, etc.) \n

• Experience with other Clouds like Azure and GCP \n

• Strong understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud networking architecture (Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN) \n

• Experience with SaaS/Cloud protection solutions (e.g., CASB) \n

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems (RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB) \n

• Information systems security certification (e.g. Security+, CISSP); familiarity with HIPAA on AWS and the AWS BAA \n

• Experience with consulting engagements \n

• Kubernetes/EKS experience (ECS/Fargate a plus) \n

• HPC experience (AWS ParallelCluster, FSx for Lustre) \n

• AI/ML experience (SageMaker, Bedrock, HealthLake/Comprehend Medical)

• Support healthcare organizations with their adoption of AWS public cloud including complex areas like EHR, data analytics, AI, ML, and containers. \n

• Work with clients to understand their requirements and engineer suitable solutions \n

• Work with the Sales team to articulate key benefits of Hosting and Cloud technology to clients \n

• Keep up to date on technology innovation across AWS’s many services \n

• Engineer, deploy & maintain Cloud solutions including a variety of services (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) \n

• Lead customer design efforts to ensure technology appropriately meets business needs \n

• Ensure proper integration between a customer’s software applications and infrastructure architecture \n

• Ensure solutions are maintained for high availability, scalability, security, and supportability - including AWS Well-Architected Framework principles \n

• Oversee information systems security safeguards for these cloud solutions \n

• Develop detailed implementation plans for implementing cloud solutions including establishing key milestones and finalizing budget/scope \n

• Assist with executing system validation and preparing the organization for transition \n

• Creation of Infrastructure-as-Code to automate client deployments and increase repeatability \n

• Contributing to the creation of Statement of Work (SOW) documents \n

\n, * Experience with Continuous Deployment and Automation using Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform/CloudFormation, and Open-Source tools (e.g., Jenkins) or AWS developer tools (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy) \n

• Understanding of cloud-based data analytics solutions (e.g., Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR) \n

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) is a major plus! \n
