  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and debug software for embedded and Linux-based prototype systems using C++ and C in real-time, multi-threaded, and multi-core environments.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, integration, test, and technical demonstrations of complex software and system-level capabilities in a rapid prototyping environment.
  • Use emulators, debuggers, and related development tools to troubleshoot software behavior, isolate root causes, and resolve integration issues across software and hardware interfaces.
  • Collaborate with software, hardware, RF, mechanical, field testing, and systems engineering teams to evaluate interfaces, operational requirements, and technical constraints and mature concepts into working capabilities.
  • Communicate technical progress, issues, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to team members, leadership, and end users while operating with general supervision and exercising sound engineering judgment in a fast-paced development environment.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of embedded SW engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of rapid prototyping processes, including iterative development, risk reduction, fast-turn integration, and engineering tradeoffs between speed, performance, and technical rigor.
  • Experience applying AI/ML tools and techniques across the development lifecycle, including prototype capability enhancement, and model development and training.
  • Familiarity with L3Harris radio products, tactical communications systems, and related waveforms, interfaces, and operational applications.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting, including familiarity with 5G technologies, device configuration, and integration in communications environments.
